If you’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful island of Maui, or specifically, the Olowalu Plantation House, then you know what a gorgeous tropical oasis it is. When we started the design process with Marianne and Brian for their Olowalu wedding, they made it clear that they wanted to accentuate the bright colors surrounding the island of Maui while also providing a fun atmosphere that their guests would enjoy. We created that by adorning their ceremony space with a beautiful 2-post wood arch with a splash of tropical color decorating one corner. The bride’s bouquet tied into the tropical look as well, bursting with beautiful shades of coral, pinks and purples. The groom and groomsmen looked dashing in white pants and blue jackets: dark blue for the groom and light blue for the groomsmen. After their beautiful ceremony guests were entertained with games of corn hole, giant connect four and a cigar bar. The overall vibe of their Olowalu wedding was fun, vibrant, warm and loving. This sweet couple and their guests had permanent smiles on their faces from the beginning of the event until the end, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. These are the days that remind us why we love doing what we do! Mahalo to Marianne and Brian, for choosing Makena Weddings as your Maui wedding planner!
