Hyejin and Aaron were both living in South Korea when they met the old fashioned way, on Tinder! They swiped right for each other, and after dating for 4 years, decided to make it official on the beautiful island of Maui. They first visited Maui for a summer vacation with Aaron’s family three years into their relationship. They had an amazing day together which ended at a luau, and as the sun went down and pink and orange colors appeared in the sky, Aaron proposed right then and there.

Having gotten engaged on the romantic island of Maui, they decided that this would definitely be the place where they would say I Do. Surrounded by nature and the laid back island vibes, it was exactly how they wanted to begin their journey together as husband and wife.

Their ceremony and reception were both held at Gannon’s Wailea, on the south side of the island. They dreamed of a casual wedding with a touch of color brought in by tropical flowers so that is exactly what we provided for their big day. They said I Do under a clean, minimal 2-post wedding arch with white flower petals placed down the aisle. The bride carried an all white bouquet of roses and orchids with a touch of color provided by a beautifully placed king protea.

After their ceremony the happy couple dined under the stars at a beautifully decorated table lined by pineapples, which in the Hawaiian culture symbolized welcome, happiness and relaxed hospitality. We can’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate their first dinner as husband and wife surrounded by family and friends!
