Monica and Erik met here on Maui during the peak of the pandemic, after a mutual friend organized a group snorkel day. They were immediately smitten with each other and a year later they gathered with their family and friends at the gorgeous Kukahiko Estate for an intimate and romantic wedding, which is exactly how they envisioned the day to be.
The bride and groom chose not to see each other until they met under their beautiful wedding arch. Monica absolutely wowed everyone in attendance as she made her entrance wearing her sleek, gorgeous Stroud wedding dress by House of St. Patrick. It was definitely the sleeves for us! They said I do under a gorgeous arch adorned with sweet, tropical flowers in shades of blush and ivory to compliment Monica’s incredibly beautiful bridal bouquet. Filled with cymbidium orchids, white and blush roses and a touch of king protea, it was the epitome of modern tropical and accented the bride’s wedding day look perfectly.
After a heartfelt ceremony the couple were officially pronounced husband and wife and the joy and love surrounding this sweet couple could be felt by everyone, it was truly heartwarming to be a part of. The newlyweds took advantage of the scenic backdrop at the Kukahiko Estate which includes lava rocks, a small beach and a perfectly manicured lawn. Scott Drexler Photography was there to capture every moment before the couple headed off for their reception at Gannon’s Wailea, just a short drive away from this incredible estate.
It was truly such a sweet and intimate wedding and we were completely honored to be a part of it. Mahalo to the newlyweds for choosing Makena Weddings as your Maui Wedding Planner!
