Makenzie and Kyle absolutely love the island of Maui, as it’s a destination that they vacation to together every year. In addition to that, the bride’s parents honeymooned on this very island over 42 years ago so it seemed like the perfect place to hold their destination wedding. Plus the groom’s father is also from Hawaii so it was the perfect location for both sides of the family! The couple dreamed of a relaxed and romantic setting at a venue that is so beautiful that it speaks for itself the minute you step foot on it. That description perfectly describes the incredible Olowalu Plantation House, so it was a match made in heaven as soon as they laid eyes on it. They wanted the food to be delicious and the drinks to be flowing with Leoda’s pies incorporated into dessert and that is exactly what they got!
Guests were greeted with stunning, bright, tropical flowers in shades of yellows, pinks and corals, creating a breathtaking contrast against the bright blue ocean backdrop. Beautiful wedding signage by Miss B Calligraphy greeted their guests with gorgeously painted tropical flowers that complimented the rest of the decor perfectly. The couple said I Do under a simple two post wooden wedding arch decorated with a stunning display of tropical flowers in the same lovely shades of the rest of the wedding decor.
After the beautiful ceremony, guests were treated to perfectly set tables with luscious tropical flowers, beautiful dinnerware and specialty linen, truly a beautiful way to welcome their guests to their first dinner party as husband and wife. Dinner, dancing, drinks, shave ice and Leoda’s pies were all on the menu and every single person in attendance absolutely had a blast, as evidenced by huge smiles that didn’t leave their faces for the entire day!
What a way to start off the start of their lives together, congratulations to Makenzie and Kyle!! We wish you a lifetime of nights as amazing and magical as this one was! Mahalo for choosing Makena Weddings as your Maui Wedding Planner!
