How sweet is this tropical Maui wedding with a touch of rustic elements for our beautiful couple, Marissa and Ben? We had so much fun planning all of these beautiful details with them, and were so happy that after considering both Oahu and Kauai for their destination wedding venue, they ultimately decided on Maui and the Olowalu Plantation House. After seeing the breathtaking Olowalu Plantation House, they were absolutely smitten and decided that this had to be the place that they started their journey together as husband and wife. They wanted to be close to the ocean, they loved the towering trees that surrounded the property and felt that it was perfectly unique enough to wow their family and friends.
After a surprise proposal with help from the bride’s family, the couple was eager to start their planning and we felt the exact same way! They decided on a rustic two post wedding arch to say their vows under, adorned with bright, tropical flowers as guests were seated on wooden folding chairs that complimented the arch perfectly. After the ceremony guests were treated to a custom menu of tropical drinks, delicious appetizers, followed by a delicious meal al fresco, under the warm Hawaiian sky. They shared a beautiful first dance complete with cold sparks and danced the night away surrounded by their family and friends.
Marissa and Ben were an absolute joy to work with and seeing how much their family and friends enjoyed themselves on their big day was truly heartwarming. Mahalo to this gorgeous couple for choosing Makena Weddings as their Maui Wedding Planner!
