It was love at first sight for Vanessa and Joaquin, who met through their parents! They each joined their parents for lunch back in 2017 and became a couple quickly after that, with an engagement following the next year. The couple shares:

A year after our first trip to Maui we returned to the island and Joaquin proposed in our most loved place, while we strolled the walkway along the Wailea Beach Resorts. He proposed in October of 2018 under two big beautiful trees with abundant views of the Pacific surrounding us.

About five minutes after the proposal the couple decided that they had to come back to Maui with their family and friends to say I Do.

The couple chose the stunning Gannon’s Wailea for their intimate Maui wedding, with the bride arriving to the ceremony in style as she cruised up in a Porsche Speedster. The couple were wed by a friend of theirs and then it was off for romantic photos with Jessica Pearl Photography, followed by a lovely alfresco dinner in the warm Hawaiian breeze. After dinner, the couple danced the night away with huge smiles from ear to ear all night along with their family and friends. There was so much love surrounding this vibrant couple, everyone in attendance had the sweetest things to say about these two loving people!
