What if it rains on my wedding day!? We are asked this question so often and when planning an outdoor wedding on a tropical island, this is sometimes an unavoidable hurdle that we have to deal with, though it is rare, it does happen. After years and years of experience working with hundreds of couples, the best advice that we can give is to choose a Maui wedding venue that has a rainy weather back up space, hope for the best and then just relax and let us handle the rest. We only work with and recommend other professionals that are familiar with your wedding venue and of course the weather here on Maui so we will be able to handle anything that Maui throws our way

As you’ll see through the beautiful images below, courtesy of Angie Diaz Photography, Shelby and Mike’s outdoor Maui wedding at Gannon’s Wailea did encounter a touch of inclement weather, but they took this unexpected twist in stride and focused on the true meaning of the day: joining their lives and hearts together surrounded by love. Luckily their chosen wedding venue, Gannon’s Wailea, does have a backup space available so we were able to keep the same venue and just move everything to their indoor space. Their ceremony was gorgeous and the couple couldn’t have been more gracious and willing to make the small change that wasn’t exactly what they had planned but they embraced it and did not let a bit of rain put a damper on their big day. As luck would have it, the rain cleared up after their ceremony and they enjoyed a romantic photo session on the beach before their dinner reception back at Gannon’s Wailea. Congratulations to this sweet couple, we wish you nothing but the best and more amazing adventures together as husband and wife!
