We were so excited to find out that Pantone Classic Blue was named Color of the Year for 2020. There are so many fun and easy ways to incorporate this beautiful color into your Maui wedding decor, so we thought we would share three easy ways for you to do just that. Pantone Classic Blue could not be a better choice for weddings as brides are always looking for ways to incorporate a touch of something blue into their wedding decor. Keep in mind that there are so many different shades of blue, we recommend layering various shades of blue instead of sticking to one color, such as Classic Blue, throughout your wedding decor.  All of the following images are from real weddings planned by Makena Weddings on the beautiful island of Maui, we are excited to share these fun tips and hope you enjoy! Please let us know if you have any questions or ideas on incorporating this beautiful shade into your wedding here on Maui, we would love to hear from you!

1. Blue Bouquet Ribbon

One of the easiest ways to add a touch of blue to your wedding decor is by adding a lovely silk ribbon in a soft shade of blue to your wedding bouquet. It does not have to be the exact shade of Classic Blue, in fact, we recommend a softer ocean blue which compliments almost any wedding bouquet perfectly!

2. Blue Table Decor

A touch of blue in your wedding centerpieces or a beautiful blue table runner is a fabulous way to incorporate the Color of the Year into your wedding decor. As you’ll see throughout the images below, the couple chose a peach and white color palette for their wedding design with just the smallest touch of blue in their flowers and a gorgeous blue table runner to tie everything together. This is the perfect example of layering color to add interest and depth to your design.

3. Blue Bridesmaids Dresses

Having your bridesmaids wear dresses in varying shades of blue is one of the easiest ways to bring this lovely shade into your wedding decor. With your bridesmaids standing next to you in lovely shades of blue, it not only looks gorgeous on pretty much everyone, but it acts as another element of your wedding design. The dresses below add a touch of serenity and are so ethereal, it’s definitely one of our favorite bridesmaids looks to date.

There are so many other ways to incorporate this elegant color, such as the groom’s attire, a blue monogrammed ring box, blue velvet vow books, etc. But one of the most incredibly beautiful ways might just be standing in front of the unforgettable and romantic backdrop of the blue Maui ocean on your wedding day. Here in Maui blue is always our color of the year!
