There’s nothing more romantic than an intimate Maui beach wedding and we had so much fun planning this sweet, simple ceremony for Kristi and Len while they were here visiting Maui. These two lovebirds wanted their Maui beach wedding to be easy, stress-free and intimate and we happily made their wishes a reality. The couple arrived to a secluded beach on Maui’s rugged Makena coast together, where Rev. Al Terry awaited to perform their heartfelt wedding ceremony. Kristi chose not to carry a bouquet but did opt for a Hawaiian lei exchange. Kristi’s lei was made of white orchids while Len wore a traditional Maile lei. Incorporating a Hawaiian Lei Exchange symbolizes affection, respect, gratitude, love and unity. Rev. Al Terry shared beautiful words personalized for the couple, then the two of them exchanged their leis as a symbol of their love and commitment to each other.
After their beautiful ceremony, the couple enjoyed romantic photos on a long stretch of sand that they had all to themselves. It was so romantic to be a witness to the love that they have for each other and we were so honored to be chosen as their Maui wedding planner. A huge mahalo to Kristi and Len from all of us at Makena Weddings.
