Sabrina and Jonathan first met at a pool party on Australia Day in 2012. Sabrina had just moved to Brisbane for the year on a holiday visa to experience life and travel around Australia. If it were not for making friends with a couple from Brisbane, while asking for directions in Malaysia, Sabrina would have never made it to the pool party and met Jon on that day. It was a very chance meeting for these two who grew up living on opposite sides of the world. After the year was up and Sabrina had moved back to Canada, there was constant contact with Jonathon and they decided to meet halfway in Maui. After a magical week in paradise, they decided they never wanted to be apart again. Jon convinced Sabrina to move back to Brisbane to share their lives together. So, of course, Maui had to be the place that they made it official and became husband and wife!

And though it did rain on their wedding day, as you’ll see throughout the images below, the bride and groom had huge smiles on their faces the entire day and did not let a little rain ruin the love and happiness of their Maui wedding. We genuinely believe that the most important thing on your wedding day is the joining of your two lives together and the love that brought you and your families all the way to Maui to celebrate. These two could not have embodied that sentiment more! Congratulations to the newlyweds and Mahalo from all of us at Makena Weddings for choosing us as your Maui Wedding Planner!
