Janelle and Mivon traveled from Missouri this summer to be married along the rugged shore of the Makena coast here in Maui. With a small guest count of ten of their closest family and friends, the couple chose the magical Kukahiko Estate to host their intimate oceanfront wedding celebration.
The couple wanted to provide a relaxing experience for their guests in attendance so we designed a sweet ceremony in varying shades of peach with each guest chair decorated in flowing white fabric. With the ocean waves crashing in the distance and the amazing Hawaiian scenery surrounding them, everyone in attendance was definitely feeling the laid back Hawaiian vibes. And after having to reschedule their wedding multiple times due to COVID, that is exactly what everyone was looking forward to!
One of the most touching parts of their wedding day was after they were announced as husband and wife, Mivon kneeled in front of the gorgeous bride and kissed her stomach, announcing to their family and friends that a new life is on the way. We are so lucky to get to share such amazing moments with our sweet couples!!
Of course everyone was overjoyed for the couple and celebrated with cake and beverages before heading off to dinner at Humble Market Kitchin by Roy Yamaguchi, which is just a short 5-minute drive from the Kukahiko Estate, located at the Wailea Beach Resort.
Congratulations to Janelle, Mivon and their sweet family and friends, we had such a great time working with you all and hope to see you back in Maui again someday!
