This fall inspired wedding at Gannon’s Wailea was so sweet for so many reasons. The couple themselves were so kind and in love and the reasons for travelling to Maui as well as their wedding vision was very purposeful and personal to the couple.

Both of us have travelled to Hawaii independently and we love the spirit, culture, and beauty of Hawaii. Since we both love to travel, we decided to invite all of our closest friends from around California, New York and Washington D.C. to join us for an epic adventure in Maui. We wanted our friends and family to celebrate with us on our wedding day, and also join us for fun-filled activities so that they can love Hawaii as much as we do.

Their fall inspired wedding vision was very thought out as well, the bride shares:

Both of us care deeply about food and the power of the written word. We are both perfectionist home cooks and our profession involve writing – Brian is a reporter and Mary is a policy analyst. We enjoy vintage-themed aesthetics and we tend to listen to older music (70s and 80s). So we envisioned a reception decorated with vintage postcards, film cameras, fans and notepads.

Aside from the thoughtful touches, their number one goal was to treat their guests to exceptional food and drinks, as well as creating a sense of celebration and community. Choosing to have both their wedding ceremony and reception at Gannon’s Wailea was definitely the right choice as everyone in attendance raved about the location, scenery and of course the great food and wine!
