There really is nothing like a romantic, secluded Maui beach wedding. The romance of jetting away to a tropical island, saying I Do with your toes in the sand, waves crashing behind you and not another soul around for miles. That is the beauty of a beach wedding and though all beaches on Maui are public, we know exactly where to hold your wedding so that you have your own private stretch of sand all to yourselves.
Monica and Tomas took a very untraditional route with their engagement and didn’t tell anyone about their proposal nor their upcoming wedding plans except for their immediate families. Monica had always wanted to visit Hawaii because of its beautiful culture and picturesque natural wonders. After her brother visited Maui this past summer, he told her that it was one of the most beautiful places that he has ever travelled to. That sealed the deal and the couple embarked on planning their romantic Maui beach wedding with us at Makena Weddings!
The couple envisioned an intimate ceremony, with just the two of them present at a secluded beach. We got very lucky with the beach that we chose for their wedding and as you’ll see through their gorgeous wedding images below, there really wasn’t another person on the beach except the two of them, it was beyond romantic and absolutely perfect!
Monica looked absolutely stunning in her traditional two-piece gown and had henna on her hands to embrace and incorporate her culture into their ceremony. The couple recited personalized vows to each other and Reverend Al Terry blew the conch shell as they kissed and made it official.
After their sweet and heartfelt ceremony, Monica and Tomas enjoyed the most gorgeous photo session on the beach with Karma Hill Photography, and ended their night with the most beautiful sunset! We’re sure you won’t be able to stop scrolling through these amazing images, we had to pick our jaws up off the floor when we saw how incredible they turned out!!
