We never get tired of planning weddings at the Olowalu Plantation House! With the dreamy views and the breathtaking scenery everywhere you turn, it hardly feels like work at all. Every wedding that we plan at this gorgeous oceanfront wedding venue is as different and special as our couples themselves. Getting to know our brides and grooms before and during the planning process is super important to us. We also love when our couples share how they met each other, every story is so sweet! And of course we love sharing that sweet snippet about our couples with all of you before we show off their wedding images. Here is the story of how this sweet couple met, the bride shares:

Way back when (about 9 years ago) I worked a summer landscaping job part-time while going to school, Clay used to work as a carpenter and we worked on a lot of the same projects. One day I saw him on the job site, and then pretty much stalked him on all the other projects we worked on together until 3 months later when I finally asked him out. By stalking I mean I would stare at him from the other side of the job site. Oh to be a shy 19-year-old again (he was 25 at the time). We dated for 2-years and then separated for 3, we were in very different stages of our lives. For those 3-years we kept in contact, we come from big hockey families and playing hockey ourselves would often be in and around the same rink in North Vancouver. In June of 2015, we decided to go for dinner and catch up, and here we are!

It just goes to show that what is meant to be will always find its way. <3 We are so glat that Caitlin Cathey Photography was there to capture every moment of this big day for our beautiful couple.
