After spending an amazing family vacation in Maui together, Michelle, a Critical Care ER Nurse, and Darren, a Fire Fighter/Paramedic, knew that this gorgeous island would be the place that they would say I Do. They dreamed of a relaxed, boho Maui wedding without anything too over the top in regards to decor. Instead, they wanted the focus to be on the celebration and having their guests feel relaxed and loved. One of our favorite parts of this relaxed boho wedding was the inclusion of the bride’s 7-year-old  daughter, Kinsley, into the ceremony. Darren wrote his own vows to this precious little girl and had a ring made especially for her. Needless to say, there was not a dry eye in the house, it was such a touching and beautiful moment. For anyone thinking about including your children into your wedding ceremony, we think after seeing the images below, you will definiltey be on board with the idea. Little Kinsley was so proud and we know she will hold this memory in her heart forever.

After their heartfelt ceremony, a gorgeous rainbow appeared, followed by a beautiful sunset, it was a perfect ending to an unforgettable day. Thank you so much to Michelle, Darren and Kinsley, for choosing Makena Weddings as your Maui Wedding Planner! We had so much fun planning with you and hope to see you again in Maui someday.
