We got engaged during a vacation in Maui in 2021. It was our first day of vacation and Colt told me he wanted to do the Road to Hana. We got up early, ate some breakfast and started our trek. Along the way he kept telling me he wanted to pull over and look at some waterfalls, we kept passing them and I asked him why he didn’t pull over and he said it wasn’t the right one. I honestly didn’t think anything of it. We passed by the Upper Waikani Falls and he said that’s the one. I was of course skeptical because getting down to the actual falls looked like a struggle but he insisted it was worth it. When we finally made our way to the bottom we just stood there and took it all in, he told me he was going to put his backpack down on the rocks behind me and get a snack. A couple minutes went by and I felt a tap on my back, I turned around and there he was on one knee. We were the only ones there at the time, and it was the perfect intimate moment.

How romantic is it that Amanda and Colt returned to Maui for their intimate wedding exactly 2 years from the date of that romantic proposal!? We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the start of their journey together as husband and wife, especially at the stunning Kukahiko Estate! After their beautiful ceremony, the couple were off to enjoy romantic photos around the stunning estate while their guests made their way to Gather in Maui for their reception. They enjoyed a catered dinner under the warm Hawaiian sky surrounded by so much love and Aloha!
