Emily and Jody are both from a small town in Weston, Missouri but always knew that they would get married in Hawaii. The groom’s family is Hawaiian so it made perfect sense to gather everyone together on the magical island of Maui for their beautiful wedding! With lovely touches of lavender throughout, their gorgeous wedding also included sentimental touches, one of which was the tag that their puppy wore when the groom proposed! The bride shares:
The bride and groom knew that they wanted to create an ambiance that was both natural and romantic, with lots of candlelight and an outdoor reception. The Olowalu Plantation House was the perfect fit and looked lovely with their simple but elegant decor.
Before the ceremony began, this sweet couple exchanged gifts to each other and then did a “first touch” during which they recited their personal vows, all without laying eyes on each other. It was very sweet and so romantic, and they still had that big reveal moment of first seeing each other as the bride walked down the aisle.
Their entire day was absolutely perfect from beginning to end and we are so happy that Angela Nelson Photography was there to capture all of the love! Congratulations to Emily and Jody, and a huge Mahalo for choosing Makena Weddings as your Maui Wedding Planner!
